End of 2009
Hi guys, it's been a long time coming since we've have spoken out about our opinions and actually wrote something on this blog rather than just post pictures.
Anyway, 2009 is coming to a close now so I thought it would be a good time to write and publish some team news and updates. So far it has been an interesting and fruitful year for team FMJ. We started playing this new game Sudden Attack around March and since then it has been a long hard roller coaster ride from start to finish. We won a few and lost a few.
2009 brought many highs and lows for us, from an unforgettable come from behind victory at the Boazman tournament in Singapore to the top 16 elimination at ASGF Singapore and the most recent 2nd place finish at SAGC. It has been one memorable year!
We've made many new friends from all over the country and have had the honor of being awarded Best SA Clan of the Year. Although to many of our family, friends, sponsors and supporters the results at SAGC has left a slight bittersweet taste in our mouths, we look ahead to 2010 with eager eye's and true to the FMJ spirit of never giving up we vow to come back stronger than ever for form is only temporary but class is permanent.
That being said, we would like to take some time to announce that with much regret, FMJ nitroN will be taking a hiatus from competitive SA to focus on more personal issues. He has been a great team mate but most importantly a great friend. He will not be leaving us but instead chose to take a break for the time being due to a lack of motivation.
It then gives me great pleasure and honor to introduce a player of equal caliber to fill the void left by nitroN. He has proven to be an invaluable asset and great team player with a wealth of experience. That man is none other than June formerly from Team LZ. We hope June's dynamic ability to play either as a rifle or sniper will add more dimensions to our line-up and help us refocus our attention to become a dominant force in SA in the region.We know he has big shoes to fill but we believe he will rise to the challenge.
So it is with this piece of bittersweet announcement to sum up and 2009 run of tournaments and achievements. We guarantee we will be back stronger, better and with more drive to help push E-Sports in Malaysia to greater heights.
Last but not least we would like to thank our dear sponsors for 2009; Asiasoft, MYGO and Steelseries and our beloved family, friends and supporters who have rooted for us throughout thick and thin. We are nothing without you!
